This beautiful Burmese Buddha statue is inlaid with red, green and blue
glass mosaic. Lord Buddha stands on a single lotus base. His hands are
in the pamls-folded gesture also known as anjali mudra which represents
the purity of body, speech and mind. The sanskrit term anjali literally
means "two handfuls" and is derived from the cupped palms being pressed
edge to edge as if they were holding a double handful of grain or
water.
